This handbook has been created to act as a quick reference guide for SFA members to use in the daily and routine performance of their duties. As such, it is not intended to replace the multitude of professional development classes that are offered by the NYSSFA and SFMI. We trust that you will also find this to be a great resource for basic knowledge concerning day-to-day activities that you will be involved in. This handbook is the product of great teamwork, and the dedication and commitment from those who saw the value in developing this resource. This is a living document that will continue to grow and will be updated as requirements, laws, and regulations change. We are grateful to all of those who participated in this project and who were able to put so much content together in less than a year’s time.
